The cost of gas today in Greeley, Colorado (June 7, 2012).
This price per gallon has come down over the past few months and I expect it to come down a bit more since this is an election year. We shall see…

There was a time when we would have hit the roof at these prices. Now we are happy to see them. These are sad times.
You are so right esp when there is plenty of oil and natural gas right here in the US.
I am so excited. I have been to that gas station!
What fun! I didn’t think many people went to visit Greeley Colorado!
Not bad!
This will probably go down in history…~mkg
Are those the prices for a litre? here a litre is around £1.40 – $2.70 is that?
No, this is the price of a gallon.
The conversion is:
1 US gallon = 3.785411784 liters.
1 UK (Imperial) gallon = 4.54609188 liters.
1 liter = 0.26417205 US gallons

So I wouldn’t mind swapping because our price worlds out at over £6 an imperial gallon!
Ouch!!
It is quite amazing how we adjust. Last week, the price of fuel went down to $1.19 per litre (Ottawa-Canada) and I thought how great it was and jumped at the chance to fill the car. It really wasn’t all that long ago that the fuss was when it went over a dollar! Crazy!
So true… it’s all crazy! Thanks for joining in the conversation!
Hi,
Our gas prices here in Oz goes up and down all the time as well, but you may be right if you are having an election soon it may get cheaper for a short period.
Sorry yours is still TOO high. When I left last week on my trip to Massachusetts for a writers’ workshop the gas by me was down to $3.39, but filling up in Greenville SC on the way was $3.06. Last leg of the return journey yesterday, I filled up in Greenville at $2.99, and the station near my house here in Georgia was down 7 cents to $3.32.
Well, then I am optimistic that perhaps Colorado will jump on the bandwagon as well. I am ready for prices less than $3.00 per gallon!
Just this evening I bought regular here in New Jersey for $3.49 a gallon…it’s nice to see prices come down, but it’s maddening to think of such high prices as an improvement!!
I totally agree. It’s like they have to make the prices so high that when they come down to something (that is still high) we are happy … oh my!
Thank God they are finally coming down in my area … but not this good!
